Richmond National Battlefield Park to Commemorate 161st Anniversary of the Battle of Cold Harbor
On Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, Richmond National Battlefield Park invites the public to experience the 161st Anniversary of the Battle of Cold Harbor, site of the 1864 battle between the United States and Confederate armies. This year’s event features living history demonstrations, including a recreation of Ulysses S. Grant’s encampment, guided ranger- led programs and family friendly hands-on activities for all ages.

Richmond National Battlefield Park to conduct prescribed burn at Malvern Hill battlefield
The National Park Service plans to conduct a prescribed burn at Richmond National Battlefield Park in late March to early April, subject to weather conditions and other factors. The burn will take place on approximately 90 acres of park property at Malvern Hill in Henrico County.
