Glacier National Park Announces Gateway Community Meeting
WEST GLACIER, Mont. [May 14, 2026] – Glacier National Park will hold a Gateway Community meeting on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This meeting is part of the park’s ongoing commitment to maintain communication and collaboration with gateway communities and local partners.
Missing Hiker and Bear Encounter Victim Identified
WEST GLACIER, Mont.– The body of a missing hiker has been recovered and identified as Anthony Pollio, a 33-year-old man from Davie, Florida. Pollio’s body was discovered by search and rescue crews at approximately 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, in Glacier National Park. The National Park Service withholds victim identity until 72 hours after next-of-kin notification.

WEST GLACIER, Mont. [May 5, 2026] – Search efforts are underway in Glacier National Park for Anthony Pollio, a 33-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, Florida who has been missing since Sunday evening.
Glacier National Park Reminds Visitors About 2026 Shuttle System and Logan Pass Access Changes
As the summer season approaches, Glacier National Park is reminding visitors about important changes taking effect for the 2026 season. These changes, first announced in February, include the elimination of vehicle reservations anywhere in the park this year, as well as a new reservation-only shuttle system and three-hour parking limits at Logan Pass.
