The span has undoubtedly inspired people throughout time--from the neighboring Native American tribes who consider Rainbow Bridge sacred, to the thousands of visitors from around the world who visit it each year. Major sediment slump changes conditions in Cataract Canyon
A major sediment slump in Narrow Canyon has altered water flow and created a new small rapid. Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) should be worn between Dark Canyon and the North Wash Access point because of the rapidly changing conditions.
