This was the longtime residence of William and Ida McKinley.
First Ladies National Historic Site consists of two properties in downtown Canton, Ohio - the home of First Lady Ida Saxton-McKinley and our Visitor Center. Come learn about how the position of First Lady has evolved over time to include a public role.

Join Dave Huthmacher, volunteer historic interpreter at the First Ladies National Historic Site, and Josh Dubbert, historian at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, for a conversation about the relationship of two future presidents who forged a bond of brotherhood in war that would last a lifetime at 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, at the First Ladies National Historic Site in Canton, Ohio.

Friday Evening Hours Begin July 5th
Starting July 5, 2024, Friday Evening Hours will begin at First Ladies National Historic Site. The site will remain open on Friday nights till 8 pm from July 5th through August 9th. Click here to learn more.

Summer Hours Begin May 1st
Starting May 1, 2024 Summer Hours at First Ladies National Historic Site begin. The site will be open Tuesday – Saturday 9 am – 4 pm from May 1st through October 31st. Click here to learn more.
