A view of Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River
Canoe through rapids and quiet pools as the Delaware River winds its way through a valley of swiftly changing scenery or fish amid rolling hills and riverfront villages in one of the finest fishing rivers in the northeastern United States. The clean water of the Delaware, the last major undammed river in the eastern United States, supports a healthy ecosystem and offers tranquility and excitement.
A new National Park Service report shows that 327,000 visitors to Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River in 2023 spent $16.6 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 157 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $21 million.
On Saturday August 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM, Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River cordially invites the public to a nineteenth century baseball exhibition featuring the Mountain Athletic Club and the Elizabeth Resolutes. The free game will be at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Lackawaxen, PA.

Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River will host the 18th Annual Zane Grey Festival on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the grounds of Zane Grey Museum in Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania. The festival is free and open to the public with fun for the entire family. Activities and events include live birds of prey, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, puppet show, arts & crafts, educational activities, and much more!
